Thanksgiving in Florida

Hello fellow bloggers and stalkers! I apologize for my lax attitude towards blogging lately- but hey I was in Florida in 70 degree weather for 10 days, so can you really blame me?? 

Below are some pictures from our Thanksgiving trip. We had a blast hanging out with my family! Noel played golf with my dad everyday (I am not exaggerating) and I went shopping and spent some quality time with my nieces. I love my family so much! We have so much fun together..never a dull moment at the Lowry House.

I just made Noel run out and get a newspaper. It's 8:30pm so needless to say he is not a "happy camper" right now. I had to get a paper though! Regardless of who you voted for, this day will go down in the history books. I am going to support President Obama because it is my duty as a proud citizen and a Christian (Romans 13:1). The End...I'm done talking about it FOREVER!

GNO Cancelled!

Sadly, I had to cancel GNO (girls night out) this Friday because I have to work and can't find anyone to cover for me...boo! GNO is what I look forward to in life. We usually go out to dinner and get into some trouble somewhere fun. When we can figure out a date, the next GNO will consist of PJ's, hot tea, dinner, dessert and girlie movies at my house. The girls  are some of the best gals I have ever met and I am so blessed to have them in my life! Hopefully, we will be able to find some time soon to get together..... 

Oh, and thats me if I keep eating not exercising the way I have been....

We will provide FOSTER CARE to either Jack, Buddy or Harlee

I love that you are the only one that truly reads my blog because I get to post intimate comments that are especially for you. I talked to Noel and we can foster either Jack, Buddy or Harlee for the 3 months that you are homeless. We know we live far so we may not even be an option for you! We would love to take care of one of your babies...let us know! 

Substitute Teaching Update

I was placed on the substitute teaching list today and amazingly was called today to sub at Boston Elementary on Wednesday and Friday! It will be my first time back in the school system since my senior year internship in college. I am a little nervous but know the experience will be great when I become a school counselor!

My Home Away From Home

My master's program is predominantly online which leaves me feeling a tad bit stir crazy at home, especially when I am working on a dreaded 20-page paper. However, my life has been helped by a little jewel in the heart of Towne Lake—WOODSTOCK COFFEE HOUSE. Not only do they have free wifi (unlike Starbucks) they also have the greatest chicken salad and vanilla chai around! Noel doesn't love it as much as I do but occasionally I will convince him to come sit and hang with me. Check out the pics below that I took when we were there last night.
